Today the Court of Appeal decided not to annul the arrest as preventive measure decided against ex-economic development minister Farhad Aliev, said Ramiz Mammadov, Farhad Aliev’s advocate.
An appeal of the same content was introduced to the Court of Appeal by advocates of ex- health minister Ali Insanov. Meanwhile, Rafig Aliev, brother of FArhad Aliev was taken to interrogation ward of the Ministry of National Security from Bail Ward.
According his advocate Alimardan Sadikhov, Rafig Aliev also rejects all accusations against him. Akif Alizade, advocate of Vekil Abbasov, ex-chief of Non-budget Services Department of the Ministry of Health, who was detained by law enforcement organs, said that he’s unaware of his client’s whereabouts.
According to the advocate, he has appealed to MNS, MIA, and the Republican Head Prosecutor’s Office due to Vakil Abbasov’s deal. But he wasn’t informed properly on whereabouts of his client. Meanwhile, law enforcement organs said that currently the facts are considered on Vekil Abbasov’s deal and information will be revealed to the community on the issue.
